A well-organised moving checklist turns an overwhelming relocation into a series of manageable steps. Here's a timeline to help you stay on track from booking day to settling in.

## 4-6 Weeks Before

Book your removalist, especially for interstate moves or peak-season relocations. Start sorting through belongings and decide what to keep, donate or dispose of. Begin collecting packing materials.

## 2-3 Weeks Before

Confirm your removalist booking details in writing. Start packing non-essential items room by room, labelling boxes clearly with contents and destination room. Notify utility providers, banks and subscription services of your upcoming address change.

## 1 Week Before

Finish packing everything except daily essentials. Confirm final details with your removalist — access arrangements, parking, lift bookings if applicable. Set aside a "first day" box with essentials for your first night in the new home.
