Nitoflor PU Colour - Polyurethane Flooring Pigment

Overview

Nitoflor PU Colour Pigments are specialized colorant components designed to achieve uniform color in polyurethane flooring systems. These pigments are used to supply both Nitoflor PU600 and Nitoflor PU200 as colored finishes, enabling aesthetic customization while maintaining the performance characteristics of the base flooring products.

Package Sizes

Nitoflor PU Colour Pigments are available in two package sizes to accommodate different project scales:

• 300g (0.3kg) packages - Suitable for smaller applications and the 9.5kg Nitoflor PU200 kits
• 1.2kg packages - Suitable for larger applications and the 18.1kg and 72.4kg Nitoflor PU600 kits

Application Details

Integration with Nitoflor PU200

For Nitoflor PU200 applications, a single 300g Nitoflor PU Colour Pigment is added during the mixing process:

1. Stir the Nitoflor PU600/PU200 Part A Base (2.6kg) to redisperse any settlement
2. Pour the base into a suitable large container
3. Add the Nitoflor PU200 Part C Fillers while mixing
4. Add one 300g Nitoflor PU Colour Pigment and continue to mix until uniform colour is achieved
5. Add the Nitoflor PU600/PU200 Part B Hardener (2.8kg) and mix for a further 2 minutes

Integration with Nitoflor PU600

For Nitoflor PU600 applications at the 18.1kg kit size, a single 300g Nitoflor PU Colour Pigment is used:

1. Agitate the 300g Nitoflor PU Colour Pigment in its individual container
2. Add to the Part A Base and mix using a heavy-duty mixer until uniform colour is achieved
3. Continue with standard mixing procedures

For Nitoflor PU600 applications at the 72.4kg kit size, a 1.2kg Nitoflor PU Colour Pigment is used following similar procedures with larger equipment capacity.

Finish Quality

• Nitoflor PU200 is supplied in colored matt finish using these colour pigments
• Nitoflor PU600 is supplied as colored finishes for aesthetic and functional applications
• The pigments enable uniform color distribution throughout the flooring system

Color Consistency Requirements

To ensure uniform color application:

• Use only components with identical batch numbers in the one application area
• Contact Fosroc for advice if batch numbers differ
• The pigments contribute to the professional appearance of the finished floor

The Nitoflor PU600 color options achieve the following Light Reflectance Values (LRV) according to BS 8493:2008:

Storage and Handling
