Application Method

Nitoflor Anti-Slip Grains 02 is applied as a broadcast application into the first coat of roll-on epoxy using the following procedure:

1. The material should be allowed to fall vertically onto the resin coating rather than be thrown across the surface, as throwing may cause ridges or scour the coating and damage the continuous film
2. After the epoxy floor coating has hardened, any excess grit is removed by vacuum
3. A second coat of epoxy is applied to encapsulate the grit

Application Rates and Coverage

The application rate varies depending on the desired slip-resistant effect:

• Light effect: 50 to 100g/m²
• Fully blinded effect: Up to 500g/m²

Coverage figures given are theoretical – due to wastage factors and the variety and nature of possible substrates, practical coverage figures will be reduced.
