- Vertical Anchoring Applications - Anchoring starter bars and hold-down bolts (refer to Fosroc Epoxy Anchoring Application Guidelines)
Supply Formats
Conbextra EP10 is supplied in three pack sizes as two-component systems:
300ml Pack
- Base Component (FC523125-200ML): 200ml
- Hardener Component (FC523124-100ML): 100ml
1.5L Pack
- Base Component (FC523125-1L): 1L
- Hardener Component (FC523124-500ML): 500ml
15L Pack (largest size)
- Base Component (FC523125-10L): 10L
- Hardener Component (FC523124-5L): 5L
Mixing Instructions
Procedure:
- Pour all contents of the hardener pack into the base container
- Mix using a slow speed power mixer until homogeneous
- Mix for two minutes or until uniform colour is achieved in the grout
Placing Instructions
- Pouring Method - Pour mixed grout steadily from one side only to eliminate air entrapment
- Small Gap Application - With the 300ml kit size, a nozzle is provided for squeezing or pouring into small gaps or hairline cracks above 0.2mm
- Continuous Flow - Ensure continuous grout flow is maintained
- Timing - Sufficient grout must be available prior to starting; regulate pour time to batch preparation time
Note: Refer to the Conbextra Epoxy Grouts Application Guide for further information.
Flow Characteristics
The maximum distance of flow is governed by:
- Gap thickness
- Head of grout applied
- Ambient temperature
Temperature Limitations and Storage
During Application
- Standard Conditions - Grouting may be carried out without special precautions at ambient temperatures from 5°C to 25°C
- Exothermic Reaction - All epoxy systems develop a temperature rise on mixing; place immediately after mixing without holding in bulk or re-lidding the container
In-Service Performance
- Frost and Sub-Zero Resistance - Resistant to frost and sub-zero temperatures
- Service Temperature Range - Suitable for in-service use up to 45°C
Storage
- Shelf Life - 3 years from date of manufacture if kept in dry, cool storage in original, unopened packaging
- Storage Conditions - Keep in original, unopened packaging in dry, cool conditions
Cleaning and Disposal
- Tool Cleaning - Clean all tools and equipment immediately after use with Fosroc Solvent 10
- Spillages - Absorb with sand or sawdust and dispose in accordance with local regulations
Safety Information
- A Safety Data Sheet (SDS) is available from the Fosroc website and must be read before use
- In emergency situations, contact any Poisons Information Centre (phone 13 11 26 within Australia) or a doctor for advice
- Application or performance data may change over time; consult current documentation before use
