Application Instructions

Hole Preparation

• Drill appropriate size holes at a 45-degree angle to intersect cracks or joints
• Holes should intersect approximately halfway through the concrete thickness (for 300mm wall, drill to 150mm depth)
• Hole drilling creates 10mm x 30mm deep holes to accommodate injection equipment

Packer Installation and Spacing

• Insert steel packers into pre-drilled holes
• Fix packers at intervals along the length of each crack
• Packer spacing is determined by crack width and depth
• Spacing must be close enough to ensure resin penetration along the crack to the next injection point
• Typical flange placement: between 200mm and 500mm apart, dependent on crack size

Injection Process

1. Connect pumping hose to packer using Nitofill Coupler 4 Jaw
2. Use high-pressure equipment for reliable resin delivery
3. Pump Nitofill resin slowly until resin appears on the crack face
4. Start at the lowest point and work upwards
5. Proceed through packers sequentially to ensure complete crack filling
6. Release pressure using the positive shut-off mechanism

Resin Compatibility

The Nitofill Steel Packer and Coupler system is compatible with three primary polyurethane formulations:

• Nitofill PU130: Hydrophobic polyurethane semi-flexible grout for leak sealing
• Nitofill PU140: Multi-purpose expanding hydrophilic flexible polyurethane grout
• Nitofill PU150: Multi-purpose hydrophilic flexible polyurethane grout

All resins are supplied in 20kg drums with 12-month shelf life under appropriate storage conditions.

Equipment Compatibility

Following injection, equipment must be thoroughly cleaned with Fosroc Solvent 10 immediately after use. The packers can be left in place or removed after polyurethane foam has cured, providing application flexibility.
