Renderoc FC - Cementitious Fairing Mortar 20kg
Renderoc FC cementitious fairing coat is designed for application in thin layers up to 3 mm, to produce a fair-faced appearance to concrete surfaces or masonry surfaces in readiness to receive a protective/decorative coating. RCS (Respirable Crystalline Silica) Hazard Free. Contains <0.1% RCS. Pre-blended to overcome site-batched variations - only the site addition of clean water is required. Contains no chloride admixtures. Excellent bond to concrete substrate with easy application and no independent primer or curing membrane necessary.

Renderoc FC - Cementitious Fairing Mortar Technical Details
Product Overview
Renderoc FC is a cementitious fairing coat specifically designed for surface preparation and finishing applications. It is used to fill blowholes and pitting areas on concrete and cementitious substrates prior to the application of protective coatings and elastomeric systems.
Primary Uses
Renderoc FC serves multiple critical functions in concrete repair and protection systems:
- Surface Preparation: Fills blowholes and areas of pitting in concrete surfaces to create a smooth, uniform substrate
- Coating Substrate: Prepares surfaces before application of protective coatings such as Dekguard E2000, Dekguard Elastic, and Dekguard S
- Finishing Coat: Applied as a subsequent render application to achieve a smooth, closed appearance when required on Guncrete E surfaces
- System Integration: Functions as a key component within Fosroc's Renderoc system of concrete reinstatement
Application Sequence
Renderoc FC is typically applied in a structured multi-stage repair process. The product is applied to surfaces that have been properly prepared and, when used within the Renderoc system, integrates with complementary bonding agents and curing products to achieve comprehensive concrete restoration.
Curing Requirements
A critical specification for Renderoc FC is its curing time requirement of approximately 48 hours before subsequent coating application can commence. This curing period is dependent on ambient conditions and must be observed to ensure optimal adhesion and performance of topcoat systems.
System Compatibility
Renderoc FC is compatible with multiple protective coating systems:
- Dekguard E2000: An elastomeric, pigmented acrylic protective coating for concrete and masonry
- Dekguard Elastic: A water-based elastomeric coating for concrete substrates
- Dekguard S: A high-performance solvent-based protective coating for atmospheric exposure
- Guncrete E: A high-strength, low-shrinkage repair mortar where Renderoc FC provides the finishing surface
Key Characteristics
As a cementitious material, Renderoc FC:
- Provides reliable adhesion to concrete substrates
- Creates a dense, smooth surface finish
- Requires proper curing practices in accordance with standard concrete procedures
- Functions as part of a coordinated repair strategy when used with bonding agents and curing membranes
