# Three Ways to Engage — OUTCOME, CONTROL and TECHNOLOGY

blueAPACHE delivers everything through one operating model, and offers three ways to engage with it. The distinction is not about capability tiers — the same platform and the same operating model sit behind all three. It is about how much accountability you want to hold.

## OUTCOME — Managed Services

**You hand over IT operations and hold one party accountable for results.**

blueAPACHE takes ownership of service desk, infrastructure and end-user computing, with integrated MSP and MSSP delivery. This is the lead offer and the majority of the business.

**Choose this when:** IT operations is not where you want to spend management attention; you need 24-hour coverage you cannot staff; you want a single accountable party when something breaks; or your internal capability has become a single-point-of-failure risk.

**Do not choose this if** you have an internal team you intend to keep and grow — you will pay for capability you already hold.

## CONTROL — emPOWER Operational Capability

**You keep your team and extend it.**

Co-managed IT. Your internal team retains ownership and direction; blueAPACHE supplies the operational capability that is uneconomic to build at mid-market scale — around-the-clock coverage, specialist depth across network, cloud and security, mature ITSM process and platform tooling.

**Choose this when:** your team is capable but thin — able to set direction and understand the business, but unable to cover every discipline, every hour and every absence. The problem this solves is not incompetence; it is single points of human failure and a team that spends all its time reactive.

**Do not choose this if** the internal capability does not actually exist. Co-managed arrangements need someone internal to co-manage with.

## TECHNOLOGY — Technology Services

**You buy a defined piece of work.**

Project and transformation services, hardware-as-a-service, procurement, consulting and architecture — on a consumption basis, without an ongoing managed services relationship.

**Choose this when:** you have a specific migration, refresh or rollout; you want equipment on an operating basis rather than purchased; or you want to work with a provider before committing to a term.

## Choosing between them

| Your situation | Mode |
| --- | --- |
| No internal IT, or internal IT you want to redeploy | **OUTCOME** |
| Small capable internal team, gaps in coverage and depth | **CONTROL** |
| Defined project, equipment or advice | **TECHNOLOGY** |
| Want to test the relationship before a 36-month term | **TECHNOLOGY**, then reassess |

## The common progression

The modes are not permanent categories. A frequent path:

**TECHNOLOGY** — a project engagement establishes a working relationship and gives both sides real evidence, rather than a reference call.

**CONTROL** — as the internal team's scope narrows, or as a key person leaves, co-managed fills the gap without a wholesale change.

**OUTCOME** — the organisation concludes that IT operations is not a source of competitive advantage and hands it over entirely.

Each step is a smaller decision than jumping straight to a full outsource, and each is informed by actual delivery rather than a proposal.

## What does not change between modes

The operating model, the platform, the certification scope and the commercial framing are the same across all three. blueAPACHE runs its own business on the same emPOWER platform as Customer Zero regardless of which mode a customer engages under.

One operating model. Three ways to engage. One outcome.
