Online assessment

An online assessment is a convenient starting point. Complete the form, upload images through our secure server, and we will get back to you to discuss your options.

It is a first step, not a diagnosis - see What this is and is not below.

What to expect

• Secure image upload. Images are uploaded over an encrypted connection.
• A reply within 24 hours on weekdays. Enquiries sent over a weekend or public holiday are answered on the next business day.
• A one-to-one discussion with a patient co-ordinator about your options, what a consultation would involve, and cost.

Your privacy

Your assessment is managed by our patient co-ordinator. Your images are seen only by the co-ordinator managing your enquiry and the practitioner you are referred to - not by anyone else, and not used for any other purpose.

Images and information you submit form part of your record and are handled under our patient information privacy policy. They are never used in advertising without your separate, documented consent, which you can withdraw.

What this is and is not

It is: a way to find out whether what you are considering is realistic, roughly what it involves, what it costs, and what the next step would be - without committing to anything.

It is not:

• A diagnosis. No one can diagnose a skin lesion, assess suitability for surgery, or plan a procedure from photographs. That requires examination in person.
• A substitute for the required consultations. Since 1 July 2023, cosmetic surgery requires a GP referral and at least two consultations before booking - one of which may be by telehealth. See cosmetic surgery rule changes.
• A commitment. Submitting the form does not book anything or oblige you to proceed.

If you are worried about a mole or skin lesion, do not wait for an online reply. A changing, bleeding or non-healing lesion should be examined promptly - by us, your GP or a skin clinic, whichever you can get to soonest. See skin cancers.

What helps us give you a useful answer

• Say what is bothering you and what you would like changed
• Clear, well-lit photographs from a few angles, without make-up or filters
• Your age, general health and any medical conditions
• Medications and supplements you take
• Any previous cosmetic surgery or treatments, including anything done elsewhere
• Whether you are pregnant, breastfeeding or planning a pregnancy
• Your timeframe, and where you are travelling from

Consultation fees

As at September 2024, including GST: Specialist Plastic Surgeon $350, Cosmetic Doctor $150, vein consultation $230, skin assessment $50, mole removal consultation $150. Procedures are quoted in writing after consultation. Me Clinic is not a no-gap provider.
