About Me Clinic

Me Clinic is a cosmetic surgery and cosmetic medicine practice at 4 Burke Road, Malvern East, in Melbourne. It has operated for over 35 years.

The clinic offers surgical procedures performed by Specialist Plastic Surgeons and non-surgical treatments provided by Cosmetic Doctors, a phlebologist, an aesthetic nurse and a paramedical aesthetician. Consultation, treatment and aftercare are handled here rather than referred out.

Our history

Me Clinic was among the early clinics performing liposuction in Australia in the early 1980s, and has refined its surgical techniques over the decades since. More than 5,000 cosmetic eye procedures have been performed here since that decade.

Those are facts about how long we have been doing this. They are not a claim to be better than anyone else - a claim we do not make, because it cannot be substantiated and is not permitted in advertising a regulated health service.

What we do

Surgical

Face: facelift, blepharoplasty, otoplasty, rhinoplasty, brow lift.

Body: breast surgery, gynaecomastia surgery, liposuction, abdominoplasty, vaginal surgery.

Skin: mole and lesion removal, surgical excision with pathology.

Non-surgical

Face: thread lift, anti-wrinkle treatments, dermal fillers, double chin reduction, facial hair removal, laser skin rejuvenation.

Body: vein treatments, body hair removal, vaginal enhancement.

Skin: skin conditions and skin treatments - laser, needling, peels, LED, cryotherapy, cosmeceuticals.

How we practise

The least invasive option that will work. Surgery is recommended when it is genuinely the right answer, not as a default.
Realistic expectations, stated plainly - including what a procedure cannot do, and when someone is not a suitable candidate.
Assessment before destruction. A skin lesion that has not been assessed is not lasered, frozen or burned off; anything of concern is excised whole and sent to pathology.
One accurate written quote before you commit. Indicative prices are published on the procedure pages.
No testimonials, no retouched images, no superlatives we cannot substantiate.
Second opinions encouraged, and provided to people who have consulted elsewhere.

Where procedures take place

Consultations and most non-surgical treatments are at 4 Burke Road, Malvern East. Surgical procedures are performed at accredited Melbourne day facilities and hospitals, including Glenferrie Private Hospital and Masada Private Hospital for eyelid surgery. Some treatments are also available at other locations - see locations.

Before booking surgery

Since 1 July 2023, cosmetic surgery in Australia requires a referral before your first consultation, screening for underlying psychological conditions, and at least two consultations before surgery is booked. See cosmetic surgery rule changes.

Costs and Medicare

Consultations as at September 2024, including GST: Specialist Plastic Surgeon $350, Cosmetic Doctor $150, vein consultation $230, skin assessment $50, mole removal consultation $150.

Cosmetic procedures are generally not covered by Medicare. Medically indicated procedures may attract rebates, and we tell you which item numbers apply. Me Clinic is not a no-gap provider, so an out-of-pocket cost applies.
