How to program a B&D sectional door remote

Troubleshooting: Your garage door isn’t opening

This is a quick tutorial to show you how to programme a remote control for a B&D sectional door.



  1. Remove the controls cover on the back of the opener for direct access to the control panel buttons.



  2. Press the MODE button repeatedly, until the remote LED is lit.



  3. Press and hold down the blue CLOSE button. The CLOSE button looks like a big, down arrow.



  4. Press and hold any available button on the remote for 3 seconds. Release.



  5. Repeat this action. Press and hold down the same remote button for 3 seconds and release.



  6. Release the blue CLOSE button on the opener.



  7. Press the MODE button again to finalise the process and refit the controls cover. Your remote is now activated.



  8. Test it works by pressing the button.
