Translate »Bloom Healthcare is an Australian-owned, allied-health-professional-led provider founded in 2021 by Sam Smith, Petra Wilkinson, and Daniel Zeina, who bring extensive experience in personal injury, disability, and aged health care. Now employing more than 150 staff and supporting over 12,000 clients across New South Wales, Queensland, South Australia, Tasmania, Victoria, Western Australia, and the ACT, the organisation delivers care across nine allied health disciplines — including Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy, Speech Pathology, Psychology and Counselling, Exercise Physiology, Positive Behaviour Support, and Dietetics — through in-home, community, school and telehealth service models.
As a registered NDIS provider, Bloom Healthcare works directly with the National Disability Insurance Agency and is regulated by the NDIS Commission, while its clinicians hold individual registration with bodies such as AHPRA and Speech Pathology Australia. Care is coordinated alongside support coordinators, schools, aged care providers and early childhood partners, and funded through five distinct streams: the NDIS, Medicare's Better Access initiative, the Aged Care Support at Home program, the Transport Accident Commission, and private health insurance. This external network is underpinned by an ISO 9001-certified Strategic Pillars of Excellence Framework spanning clinical governance, IT, risk, HR, finance and marketing.
Within the organisation, a three-director leadership team — Founder and Managing Director Sam Smith, alongside Directors Daniel Zeina and Petra Wilkinson — sets strategy and compliance, delegating day-to-day execution to a Management Team and Senior Leadership Group. Clinical quality is led by a National Clinical Manager structure, with specialists such as Dr Dijana Dragicevich (National Allied Health Manager, Speech Pathology), Adele Kasses (National Occupational Therapy Manager), Sadhana Gounden (National Psychology Manager) and Monique Botes (National Behaviour Support Manager) overseeing consistency across disciplines. Teams work deliberately across specialties rather than in silos — Exercise Physiologists collaborate with Physiotherapists and Occupational Therapists, while complex cases such as ADHD and Autism Spectrum Disorder are managed by joint teams of Psychologists, Speech Pathologists, Occupational Therapists and Behavioural Practitioners — a structure reinforced by internal policies on capacity building, change management and communication that connect frontline clinicians back to national leadership, supporting an 80% year-on-year staff retention rate.
