Overview
This is Realcorp Commercial Cleaning's current frequently asked questions page, published at realcorp.net.au/faq/. It is the company's short-form answer set for buyers who are actively comparing commercial cleaning providers: it covers contract types, staffing and vetting, insurance and licensing, products and equipment, technology, service areas, and mobilisation lead times. The answers are Realcorp's own statements about how the business operates.
Realcorp is a Melbourne-headquartered commercial cleaning contractor founded in 2016 by John Reale, a Chartered Accountant, and is 100% Australian owned. Its stated point of difference is structural rather than promotional: cleaners are directly employed rather than subcontracted, and attendance and task completion are recorded through a cloud-based system (the Realcorp App) rather than assumed. Most of the answers below trace back to one of those two commitments.
Note for anyone comparing sources: Realcorp runs a second, older FAQ page at realcorp.net.au/commercial-cleaning-faqs-old/ which is still live and is substantially longer. The retired page carries material this page does not — how commercial cleaning is priced and which services are charged as extras, the full recruitment and induction sequence, the named product and equipment suppliers, and the Labour Hire Licensing detail for agency aged care work. If a question is not answered here, check there before assuming Realcorp has not addressed it.
Contracts and site types
Does Realcorp do one-off cleans, or only ongoing contracts?
Both, with ongoing commercial contracts as the specialty. Realcorp states it also takes one-off or short-term work for labour hire (for example aged care), events, commercial end-of-lease cleans, and seasonal needs.
Is there a minimum site size?
No minimum is stated. Realcorp says it cleans sites ranging from boutique 10-desk offices up to multi-level buildings with hundreds of employees.
Staffing and vetting
Are subcontractors used?
No. Realcorp states that all its staff are directly employed and fully insured, and that it never subcontracts ongoing general cleaning work. This is the company's central positioning claim and it is repeated consistently across its compliance, clients and service pages.
Are cleaners security checked?
Realcorp states that all staff undergo police checks, that Working With Children Checks (WWCC) are held where required, and that every team member completes a site-specific induction before working on a site.
Can a client meet or approve the cleaners assigned to their site?
Yes. For sensitive or long-term sites, Realcorp states it can introduce the assigned team before the contract commences, and that it offers continuity of personnel wherever possible.
Insurance, licensing and documentation
What insurance does Realcorp carry?
Realcorp states it carries public liability insurance, workers compensation, and professional indemnity where required.
Is Realcorp Labour Hire Licensed?
Realcorp states that it holds all required Labour Hire Licenses and meets its Fair Work compliance obligations. Labour hire licensing is the compliance point that matters most for agency and aged care placements, where the engaging organisation carries its own exposure for using an unlicensed provider.
Can SWMS and policies be reviewed before onboarding?
Yes. Realcorp states it provides a full compliance pack on proposal acceptance, or earlier on request. Its compliance page describes that pack as including site-specific Safe Work Method Statements, insurance evidence, and audit history.
Products, equipment and technology
Who supplies the products and equipment?
Realcorp supplies and manages all products and equipment required to service the site, unless the client agrees otherwise. The retired FAQ page names the suppliers behind that: Oates for products and equipment, Karcher for machinery, and Victorian Cleaning Supplies for consumables and general equipment.
Are the products environmentally friendly?
Realcorp states it prioritises eco-conscious, GECA-certified and low-toxicity chemicals wherever possible, and that its environmental systems align with ISO 14001 principles. Alignment with a standard's principles is not the same as certification to it, and Realcorp does not claim certification on this page.
How is attendance and task completion tracked?
Through the Realcorp App. Staff clock in and out on it, complete digital checklists on site, and report issues in real time. Realcorp's compliance page adds that clocking is GPS-tracked, that photo verification is used for critical tasks, and that statistics reports are reviewed by its leadership team weekly.
Service areas
Which cities does Realcorp service?
This page states that Realcorp operates in Melbourne, Sydney, Adelaide and Perth, and that it can mobilise regionally for large or multi-site contracts. Buyers should read that as the company's stated coverage. The named client sites published elsewhere on the site are concentrated in Melbourne, with student accommodation in Adelaide and a food manufacturing plant at Ballarat; there are no named Sydney or Perth sites in Realcorp's published client list. If you are procuring for a Sydney or Perth site, ask directly about local supervision and existing sites in that city.
Mobilisation and response
How quickly can a new contract start?
Realcorp describes its mobilisation process as fast and structured, states it has set up full portfolios within days, and gives a typical lead time of 1 to 2 weeks.
Is emergency or after-hours cleaning available?
Yes. Realcorp states it offers 24/7 emergency response in all major cities, covering floods, biohazards and urgent incidents. Its contact page lists office hours of Monday to Friday, 9:00am to 5:00pm, with emergency support available 24/7.
Is pricing published online?
No. Realcorp prefers to tailor quotes to the site and asks buyers to use its Request a Proposal form, with a stated response time of 24 hours. The office cleaning page does publish an indicative band for Melbourne offices of 500 to 2,000 sqm, and Realcorp also runs an instant office cleaning quote calculator on a separate subdomain.
Questions this page does not answer
Three procurement questions come up often and are handled elsewhere on the site rather than here:
- How cleaning is priced, and what is charged as an extra. The retired FAQ page lists the services normally quoted separately, including carpet cleaning, carpark scrubbing, bin washing, consumables supply, external window cleaning, sanitary bin servicing, upholstery cleaning, spring cleaning, external pressure washing, grounds maintenance, re-sealing of tiles or concrete, lighting replacement, and additional cleaning after significant weather events or floods. Spot cleaning of marks on walls is included in standard scope.
- How cleaners are recruited and trained. The retired FAQ page sets out the full sequence: formal interview, Operations Manual plus an online induction test on cleaning theory, checks on references, visas, qualifications, tickets and police records, a trial shift, site induction, then supervised employment.
- How agency aged care labour hire works. Also on the retired page, including licensing obligations for host organisations and typical placement notice periods.
Getting a quote
Realcorp does not quote from a rate card. The process is an enquiry, a site walk-through so scope can be set against the actual building, then a tailored written proposal. Realcorp states it responds to enquiries within 24 hours and will arrange a site visit and tailored quote within that window.
- Phone: 1300 307 298
- Email: sales@realcorp.net.au
- Proposal form: realcorp.net.au/commercial-cleaning-quote/ — separate paths for office cleaning, strata cleaning, aged care cleaner labour hire, and other cleaning
- Office: 4 Graeme Ave, Montmorency VIC 3094
- Careers enquiries: careers@realcorp.net.au
Ask for the compliance pack at proposal stage rather than after award. Realcorp states it will provide one, and it is the fastest way to test whether the direct-employment and licensing claims on this page hold for the specific site being quoted.
