REPLACE MISSING TEETH WITH AFFORDABLE DENTURES OPTIONS
FULL COMPLETE DENTURE VS. PARTIAL DENTURE
A full complete denture replaces both the upper and lower teeth completely.
A partial denture can replace one or more missing teeth when remaining teeth are healthy. This type of denture type of denture that uses natural to stay in place.
METAL PARTIAL DENTURES
Metal partial dentures carry advantages over acrylic (plastic) partial dentures. Metal is much stronger than plastic, so it is made a lot thinner and smaller, meaning that your dentures won’t feel as bulky as the plastic ones. Another key difference is that the metal dentures are often better fitting, often stay in well, and feel more comfortable.
PARTIAL OVERDENTURE
A partial overdenture is a type of denture is similar to a partial denture, but it also uses natural teeth and remaining teeth roots to stay in place. This technique gives the denture greater support and retention, making it a more stable alternative to a traditional partial denture. The roots of these teeth will assist in retention and stability of the upper denture by distributing stress concentration between the teeth, retained roots and denture supporting tissues. The retained roots under the denture need to be cleaned and maintained like natural teeth to prevent dental decay and gum disease.
IMPLANT RETAINED DENTURE
This type of denture involves the placement of implants in the jaw and a denture that is made to snap on to these implants that will help stabilize and retain the denture.

CARING FOR AND CLEANING YOUR DENTURE
5 TIPS TO CARE FOR YOUR DENTURES
1. Brush your dentures daily
Just like natural teeth, your dentures should be brushed morning and night using a brush and non-abrasive cleaner, such as soft hand soap. Do not use toothpaste to brush your denture as this can sometimes be too abrasive. You should always use a extra soft toothbrush also in order to ensure you do not damage or disturb any potential lining.
2. Soak your dentures daily
Use a denture cleaning solution to soak your dentures to remove plaque (bacteria) and disinfect your dentures. It is important that this solution is suitable for dentures, unless it has been shown to be safe for denture, it should not be used.
3. Leave your dentures out at night
When sleeping, remove your dentures from your mouth and keep them in a safe, dry place. This helps to allow areas of discomfort within the mouth to heal and prevent infection in the gums beneath the denture. If your denture continues to cause you discomfort, return to your dentist.
4. Visit your dentist regularly
Return to your dentist for denture adjustments until you find it comfortable to wear. Visit the dentist regularly for general check-ups as well. Over time, the shape of your mouth can change causing your denture to no longer fit or function effectively. Your denture may need to be altered where it may be refitted or relined. It is also important to have regular check-ups so that the soft tisues of your gums can be checked for any signs of pathologies, such as abscesses or oral cancers.
5. Your dentist suggested denture adhesive
Adhesives help to increase the retention and stability of your denture, which can make them more comfortable to wear. The denture adhesive can reduce the pressure and friction transmitted from the denture to the underlying gums and soft tissues of the mouth. Beware, these products may not work well if you have a dry mouth due to reduced saliva production (hyposalivation).
