Where is my DNA analysed?

All samples are delivered to myDNA’s state of the art laboratory in Melbourne, Australia, where they extract your DNA and analyse for your specific genetic variations.

How is my DNA stored?

myDNA uses the latest software and security systems to ensure your data is anonymised and will never knowingly be released to a third party without your consent.



Your sample is stored at -84 Degrees Celsius to mitigate the sample spoiling. 

How accurate is the DNA test?

A strict quality assurance process combined with state of the art laboratory facilities allows myDNA to control reliability and validity of their tests, of which they comfortably boast 99.9% accuracy.



Their insights and recommendations are based on hand picked evidence compiled by their clinical team of pharmacologists, molecular and clinical geneticists, researchers, genetic counsellors, nutritionists and dietitians. myDNA adheres to their evidence rating scale which ensures they only use research based on extensive human trials.

Has my sample reached the lab?

You will be notified by email once your sample reaches myDNA’s lab in Melbourne, Australia. Times can vary, depending on where you’re sending your sample from.



From here it takes 10-15 business days for your genetic profiles to be analysed, at which point myDNA will contact you again.



Please contact myDNA if you think you've been waiting too long and would like an update.

How does it work?

The process is very simple, once you have swabbed your cheek and your DNA sample has been collected, you will need to register and activate your sample (select “Yes” when asked if you have a DNA Collection kit) before sending the sample to myDNA.



From there it takes 10-15 business days to analyse your sample, generate your insights and formulate your plans which are sent securely to your myDNA account. 

How secure is my data?

Your DNA sample and data remain your property, are stored on secure encrypted services, can be destroyed anytime at your request, and will never be shared without your consent.
