Request a Detailed Moving Quote

Start the detailed quote form when you have your move details ready. The form collects the service, locations, access, dates, inventory and contact information needed to prepare an estimate. For help completing it, call 1800 500 584 or contact Fragile Removals.

Choose the service and locations

Identify what you need moved and enter the collection and delivery locations. Describe the property type at each end. The form asks separately about parking and access at both properties, including how far the truck will park from the entrance.

Treat these as two separate access checks. A straightforward collection does not mean delivery will be equally simple. Describe stairs, lifts, narrow access, height restrictions or a long carry where relevant. If a property or access arrangement is still uncertain, tell the team instead of submitting an assumption as a confirmed detail.

Set your dates

Enter your intended moving date and indicate flexibility where the form allows it. Flexibility choices include three days, a week or a fortnight. Distinguish your preferred collection date from any fixed deadline for delivery, keys or a property handover.

For an interstate move, ask the team to confirm the collection and delivery windows before relying on a particular arrival date. For a gap between properties, include your storage requirements.

Build the inventory

The form includes an item selector for household belongings. Work through the rooms and other storage areas systematically so the estimate reflects the load you intend to send. Include furniture, appliances and other large items, as well as the cartons that will accompany them.

Typical inventory choices include beds, desks, tables, mirrors, microwaves, bikes, stereos, pool tables and other household items. Explain unusual dimensions, heavy pieces or fragile items separately rather than assuming a generic item choice describes every version of that object.

Use measuring furniture in cubic metres to understand volume calculations. An inventory estimate still needs the actual access and handling information for your job.

Add your contact details and optional services

Complete the contact section so the team can follow up. Identify supplementary services you want included, such as packing, unpacking or storage, and agree the scope of any furniture dismantling or reassembly.

Before submitting, check the locations, dates and inventory together. If details change afterwards, send the revised information and ask whether the estimate needs updating. A submitted request is the start of the quotation process; confirm the final scope, price and booking terms with the team.

Read the privacy policy before providing personal information. Use the removalist comparison guide to review the written quote when it arrives.

Does the quote form replace a confirmed booking?

No. Submitting the form starts an estimate request; it does not by itself confirm an available date, final price or booked service. Review the reply to ensure the addresses, inventory, access, dates and optional tasks are correct, then confirm the scope and booking terms with the team. Distinguish a preferred collection date from a fixed delivery or key-handover deadline, particularly for interstate work. If any detail changes after submission, send the update and ask whether the estimate needs revision before relying on the earlier arrangement.

What if my item does not match the inventory choices?

Describe the actual item and explain how it differs from the generic choice. Include dimensions, any known weight or manufacturer handling information, its condition and the access route if relevant. A pool table, large artwork, unusual appliance or bulky furniture piece may need more detail than its category name. Contact the team if you cannot represent the item accurately in the form. Do not omit it or assume a standard selection includes any dismantling, specialist preparation or equipment needed for that particular version.

How should I describe access at collection and delivery?

Treat the two properties as separate checks. Record stairs, lifts and bookings, parking distance from the entrance, narrow routes, height restrictions and other constraints that affect carrying or vehicle access. Identify uncertain arrangements rather than marking them as confirmed. Large furniture may fit the destination room while failing at a doorway or turn, so include those measurements or concerns as well. Accurate access information helps the team assess the resources and estimate; a straightforward collection does not establish straightforward delivery.

How should I use the form’s date-flexibility choices?

The form offers flexibility options such as three days, a week or a fortnight. Use the option that reflects what you can actually accommodate, and separately explain fixed deadlines such as tenancy handover, key collection or business opening. Flexibility is information for planning, not a guarantee of a lower price or a particular arrival date. For interstate work, ask for separate collection and delivery windows, and include any storage requirement if your properties are unavailable at the same time.
