Emergency Services Removalists
Choose this service when you need help moving emergency services personnel. Begin with the inventory, the work required at collection and delivery, and the dates you need the service. Confirm the actual inclusions, handling responsibilities and price in a written quote.
Compare business relocation services and ADF removalist offer where that alternative matches the work. Contact the team to clarify the scope before booking. The advertised 10% offer should be confirmed with the eligibility evidence and final quote; do not assume an unstated expiry, stacking rule or reimbursement entitlement.

- Firefighters – Fire and Rescue NSW, CFA, DFES, QFES, MFS, and all state and territory fire services
- Paramedics and ambulance officers

How to Claim Your 10% Discount
There are no forms, codes, or pre-approvals. The process is the same regardless of which service you belong to.
Request a quote online or by calling 1800 500 584.
- Let us know you're emergency services when you book.
- Show your official service ID or employment card at the time of booking.
- Your 10% discount is applied to the final invoice.
If your partner or household member holds the emergency services ID, let us know at the quoting stage and we’ll confirm what’s needed.
Why Fragile Removals Supports Emergency Services
Police officers, firefighters, paramedics, and SES volunteers are there for all of us when it counts. At Fragile Removals, we recognise that contribution and the demands that come with it. Our 10% discount is our way of saying thank you and giving something back.
Beyond the discount, you get the same standard of care we bring to every move. Your move coordinator handles scheduling, confirms access details, and manages the logistics from packing through to placement at your new address. Whether you need a full pack-out, transport only, or storage in between, we’ll put together a quote that covers exactly what’s required.
Fragile Removals describes AFRA accreditation, more than 20 years of experience and over 50,000 completed relocations. Confirm who will perform each part of your booking, including any separately arranged specialist transport.
Emergency Services Removalist Services
The 10% discount applies across all the following services.
- Local moves. Whether you’re moving closer to your station or into a bigger place for a growing family, our crew handles the full pack, load, and unpack in a single run where possible.
- Interstate moves. Police officers accepting regional transfers, paramedics relocating for a new role, or firefighters moving interstate with their families. We coordinate interstate relocations between Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Perth, Cairns, Adelaide, Canberra, and regional areas. Your move coordinator manages the timeline from packing through to delivery at the other end, so you’re not chasing logistics while managing everything else.
- Storage. If your move-in date doesn’t line up with your move-out, or you need somewhere to keep belongings while you settle into a new area, we offer short-term and long-term storage with flexible access. When you’re ready, we deliver everything to your new address.
- Packing and unpacking . Our crew does the full pack-out in one visit, room by room, and unpacks at the new place. For busy households, this means you don’t need to set aside days to manage the packing yourself.
- Speciality item transport. Items that need dedicated handling, such as pianos, large workshop equipment, or oversized furniture.
Quoting and Pricing
Every Fragile Removals quote breaks down labour hours, travel time, packing materials, and any optional extras in plain language. Your 10% emergency services discount is applied to the total, and the final figure is confirmed before your move date.
If you need an itemised invoice for employer reimbursement or salary packaging purposes, let us know at the quoting stage and we’ll format the documentation to suit.
Fit the move around duty and household commitments
Tell the coordinator about the collection and delivery dates you can attend and any limits created by your work roster. Identify who can answer questions or approve a change if you will be unavailable. Do not assume that a service discount includes an unrestricted choice of dates or a guaranteed urgent booking.
For a transfer to another location, separate your start date from the timing of household delivery. If those dates do not align, discuss packing and storage in the quotation. Keep everyday items and important records accessible until the goods arrive and the agreed setup is complete.
If a partner or another household member holds the relevant identification, raise that before booking. The offer asks the team to confirm what is needed in that situation; it does not establish automatic household eligibility. Retired personnel should likewise confirm the proof of prior service that will be accepted.
Check the invoice and discount together
Ask the team to show the quoted services, optional extras, 10% discount and final total clearly. If employer reimbursement or salary packaging documentation is needed, explain the requirements at the quoting stage. The removalist can discuss the invoice format, but the offer does not determine an employer's approval or the treatment of an expense.
Confirm any interaction with another promotion before relying on a combined saving. If the inventory, dates or service changes, ask for a revised written amount and confirmation that the eligibility evidence remains sufficient.
Make the written scope usable on moving day
Keep one current inventory and identify the destination for each item or group of cartons. Record anything travelling separately, staying behind or needing special care. Update the list if you add, remove or change items after the estimate so the crew is not working from an outdated description.
Check access at collection and delivery, including the route through the building and the distance from vehicle parking. Tell the coordinator about lifts, stairs, narrow turns, restricted hours and large items before the move. A handling plan depends on those details as well as the nominal size of the load.
Agree the order of packing, dismantling, loading, transport, unloading and any setup work. Identify the person who can answer questions at each end and confirm any fixed deadline. If the plan depends on another provider or the new premises being ready, discuss what happens if that step is delayed.
Ask for the insurance arrangements for the goods and any relevant exclusions or excess. Identify who handles a claim or complaint and keep those contact details with the booking. Read moving and storage insurance for the distinction between business cover and cover for the items being moved.
If access, timing or the requested work changes, stop and confirm the revised instructions with the responsible contact. Ask for any price or scheduling effect in writing. At handover, check the agreed placement and tasks against the inventory and raise a concern through the booking process rather than assuming it will be resolved automatically.
Use the detailed quote form to organise the load and access information. How to Choose a Good Removalist provides a checklist for comparing the written scope, responsibility and terms.
Are SES volunteers included?
Yes. SES volunteers with valid identification are included in the published emergency-services offer, alongside police, firefighters, paramedics and ambulance officers. The offer also describes retired personnel with proof of prior service. Mention the eligibility category when requesting a quote and resolve the acceptable evidence at booking. Ask for the 10% discount and final total to be shown with the services you need. Eligibility for the offer does not itself reserve a date or define any reimbursement arrangement through an employer.
Can I use my partner’s emergency services identification?
Raise that situation at the quoting stage. The offer asks the team to confirm what is needed when the identification belongs to a partner or another household member; it does not establish automatic eligibility for every household booking. Explain who holds the service identification and who is booking the move, then obtain confirmation of the evidence and applicable discount before relying on the final price. If employer documentation is also needed, keep that requirement separate from the supplier's identification check.
What should the quote specify?
List the inventory, both addresses, access constraints, collection and delivery windows, packing or unpacking and any storage or specialist handling. Explain roster commitments and identify an authorised contact if you cannot attend or answer questions. Ask the quote to show labour, travel, materials, optional work, the 10% discount and final amount clearly. If an itemised invoice is needed for employer processes, state the required format before booking. Any change to the load or schedule should prompt a revised scope and price rather than an assumption that the old total still applies.
What if the premises or equipment are not ready on the planned date?
Contact the coordinator promptly and identify whether the problem is property access, the household timetable or an item that cannot yet travel. Discuss revised collection or delivery, storage where required and the person available to supervise the changed arrangement. Keep work-start dates separate from when the household goods can be received, and retain essentials during any gap. Ask how additional handling, storage or changed dates affect the scope and price. The discount does not establish an unrestricted urgent service or make an altered plan automatically included.
How do I claim the emergency-services discount?
The published process is to request a quote online or on 1800 500 584, identify yourself as emergency services when booking and show official service identification or an employment card. The 10% discount is described as applying to the final invoice. Confirm the evidence required for your circumstances, particularly for retired personnel or a household member's ID, and check the quoted services and total. The description does not establish how another promotion combines with the offer, so clarify that before comparing savings.
Can the move be planned around shift work or a transfer?
Discuss the dates and attendance windows your roster allows, including who can act for you if you are unavailable. A transfer may have a fixed work start date while household collection and delivery occur on different days, so identify packing help, essentials and any storage needed between them. Give the coordinator one current inventory and consistent instructions for both addresses. Ask for the actual available moving windows and building access arrangements rather than assuming the personnel offer guarantees a particular shift-friendly or urgent appointment.
